Comment: Apparently sometime around the turn of the millenium, Intuit decided to just milk its existing customer base dry.
If you are a long time Quicken user, theres nothing new here. Stay with the version you have until they force you to move

Comment: The item was ordered Friday after Thanksgiving and was received the following Monday ! I was very surprised, thinking that it would take longer. I want to thank the vendor for his courtesy and promptness.

Summary: Quicken Premier 2009 Review
Comment: I only upgrade Quicken once every 4 or 5 versions. Since I reloaded my machine and 2004 support was disabled, I decided to buy a new version. I was pleasantly surprised it was available for download coming in at under 70MB. 2004 comes in at a whopping 300+MB!
The interface changed a little across this many versions, but I have found it thus far fairly intuitive and somewhat easy to use. I do not like that I have to spend over $50 to get the same capability I spent $30-something for that many years ago. I suppose I should have bought 2008 if that was an issue. I considered it, but actually found 2009 for a cheaper price after doing extensive web searches.
If you need software to manage any kind of finances, I would recommend it. Just read the fine print as to what you get with each version. If I didn't pay attention, I would not be able to track my investments with a lesser version of the software.

Summary: A great product going down the tube
Comment: Just bought Quicken Premier 2009 because 2006 couldn't be made to print in a 64 bit environment. Waste of money! It won't print either. The setup is a wireless network with three other computers; the printer is connected to a desktop; the 2009 Quicken installed on a laptop. Everything prints but the 2009 quicken. At least 20 messages have gone back and forth with Quicken technicians (?) with no resolution. They will not say it's because of the 64 bit software but that's the only difference. Why can't they develop a simple fix? About ready to try Money.

Summary: Quicken 2009 Premeire hurts my eyes and causes headaches
Comment: I upgraded from Quicken 2006, which flickered and redrew the screen constantly. Quicken 2009 is significantly worse, now to the point of being painful to use. The flickering and redraws make my eyes hurt and give me headaches to use. With Quicken 2006, the level of flickering was almost acceptable, but now it is downright unusable. I bought this online, and fortunately, they have a 30 day return policy.
I tried communicating with support, and the only thing they could come up with is a video driver conflict, and to disable hardware acceleration. I have a Dell laptop, about as standard as they come. I am not going to downgrade my laptop to make it a Quicken-only system. No other application works like this. Quicken support then made the absurd claim that Quicken can only run on a machine running at 1024x768 resolution.
